DIY: Decorated Jar

You'll need: A glass jar with lid, Scraps of paper, Clag Glue (reminds me of Kindy), Scissors, Pencil
Trace the lid onto your chosen paper and sketch another circle with a radius 2-3cm larger than the original circle. After pasting the design onto the lid, snip lines into the paper.
Glue and fold the looses of paper under the lid and leave to dry.
I used the leftover scraps of paper to cut out random words (to fill the jar for the time being)
 Good luck! xx

Book Sale

Who would think that you could actually find pretty good thrifting items ... at school?
Purchased a "great big" book for only 10c and I have an extremely great idea for its use when I am through reading it!

The "Great BIG Book of Everything (of everything inside)" that I purchased today
So here's what I wanted to do with the book afterwards:-

My Simple Little Brother

A photo I took of my baby brother while he was playing around in the back garden. He is simply the most adorable little bunch of fun!

Happy memory making. xx

Road Trip

Every so often, my family and I go on a little road trip. Nature is ever-so beautiful, and above are some of the photos I (tried to) take, while the car was in motion. xx

Rainbow in a Jar

Yesterday was my wonderful Godmother's birthday and I really wanted to give her a "pocketful of sunshine" - excuse the cliche. So I thought I'd like to share a recipe that was made by Brooke McLay;
Isn't it such a cute cake? Image and recipe found at Babble
Also, be sure to find an oven-proof jar beforehand (the mistake I made)!

Happy baking. xx

Thrifting Beginnings

Thrifted a vintage camel-coloured "Book Bag" today at a "Recycle Shop". It was only $4 - what a deal!

Happy Thrifting! xx

A Savings Solution

I think I have briefly mentioned Photojojo here before...it's only one of the most awesome online stores for the best "Photo Shiz" on the world wide web.
Well anyway, I came across this while doing my weekly browse of the site:

Almost just the same! The DSLR Bank, Images and stock at Photojojo
Wouldn't it be so great if I could simply save for a DSLR with this well...DSLR Bank? Its kind of ironic really - spending money to save money.

Just Blousing

Image from Intricate Frocks
I fell in love with this chiffron blouse, with an adorable cut-out lace back. Apparently, they were found in Topshop, but by the time I had spotted them - they'd been sold out (talk about delayed). I found almost a replica - from Chicabooti (I have fun just saying the name).

Happy blousing. xx

For the Love of Camera

So, I have been meaning to save up for a DSLR camera (Nikon or Canon?) for a while now. I currently do not own any other cameras (other than a Fujifilm Instant Camera) for the time being and I am quite money deprived.
Anyway, here is a photo of the Fujifilm Instant:
The Instax 50s Piano Black Instant Camera from the Photojojo Store
While looking at cameras, I stumbled upon this awesome camera collection - I'd love to have a collection like this, too bad I haven't got the money;
This cute collection is from Day Dream Lily's blog, the exact post is Just a Minute In... July
So until the next time - Snap to it! xx

Those Shoes

I've never really been that much into shoes, but recently, I have had a great amount of interest in - the window shopping of - shoes. This has also been aided through online shopping, the last pair of shoes mentioned on this blog were found via the Internet. And just like the previous pair, these were found after almost half a years searching of the pair of shoes I had noticed from one of my favourite bloggers: Carrie Harwood from Wishwishwish.

Earlier in the year, Carrie briefly mentioned those shoes in one of her posts;
Original Image from the amazing Wishwishwish's blog post "Postcards from Italy"
The shoes I found were Jeffrey Campbell's Foxy Wood, these shoes are available in quite a few colours - I am still unsure of exactly which colour to choose. I am really hoping that they still have the pair I want as by the time:
 - My parents approve of me spending any MORE money on shoes
 - I can fork up that amount of money needed
The shoes may as well be sold out. Fingers crossed!!

One of the many colours available, for more, check out Jeffrey Campbell Shoes

Happy window/screen shopping!
